THE ULTIMATE TELEPHONE PLAN – The ultimate gimmick?
Many of our competitors are moving their revenue base away from calls charges and tying up customers with “all included” business phone plans. Some of the larger Telco’s are now charging customers in 30 second blocks or with 1 minute minimum calls in an attempt to make it more expensive on business phone plans (just like with their business mobiles). They do this so that those customers move to the “unlimited” plans with line rentals as high as $129 per month. Then when you move to the Unlimited plans you find your bill has gone up again.
Sound like a familiar story? In fact around 90% of bills we have analyzed on unlimited call plans end up being more expensive due to higher rate calls to mobiles, 30 second billing increments, more expensive flag falls and the fact the most calls run for under 2 minutes. We don’t do that, we just give you cheap business calls all day every day so you only pay for what you need.
You need to remember that when announcing the “ultimate plans” the big Telco’s announced they wanted to move their revenue base away from variable (calls) to fixed (rental). They never said they wanted to reduce their revenue base or lower their margins so its easy to work out why most customers end up paying more when they move onto these “ultimate” plans. In its recent annual report 2008 Australias biggest telco reported increased revenue for Fixed Wire!!
WILL I BE ABLE TO KEEP MY EXISTING TELEPHONE NUMBERS?
Yes! We have reciprocal Local Number Portability (LNP) agreements in place with Telstra, Optus & Powertel. Any PSTN number from any of these carriers can be ported onto our network allowing the customer to keep their existing phone number.
Only telstra On ramp ISDN 10/20/30 numbers can be ported at this stage.
WILL THERE BE ANY INTERUPTION TO OUR PHONE SERVICE IF WE SWITCH TO TELAUSTRALIA?
No! The change over is seamless so you can continue with your business safe from interruption. Your existing ISDN2, ISDN 102030 and PSTN lines will switch over and you wont even notice it has happened.
